The Madison County Health Department wants to make Alton women aware of a great program that we have, called Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. We just call it IBCCP for short. This program gives women a chance to get a FREE mammogram (x-ray of the breast), pap smear (test for cervical cancer) and pelvic exam. To qualify for IBCCP, you must be between the ages of 35-64 and have no health insurance and meet income guidelines. This program could save a life. Please share this information with any women that you know. Call 692-8954 extension 2 for more information. Nurses will be happy to answer any questions that you may have and help you get enrolled in this program.
