Basketball Clinic

ALTON - The second annual basketball clinic, sponsored by Alton police and firefighters and members of the Madison County Probation Department, was held Tuesday on the courts in Hellrung Park in Alton.


		A youth is silhouetted as he goes up for a shot under the instruction of an Alton firefighter. Officer Doug Schaefer of the Alton Police Department drives the ball past a young defender during a lesson. About 30 children participated in the clinic this year and were treated to free hot dogs, courtesy of the Humboldt Senior Apartments.
